The practice 

The practice consist of two family practitioners, Mrs. N.A. Vorwald, MD and Mr. R.J. Michielsens, MD and a family practitioner trainee. The trainees remain in our practice for a year. They appear to work independently, but are reviewed and guided by us and the University of Leiden Department of Public Health. The practice is quality marked.

The doctor's assistents are Ellen Cortvriendt, Annemarie Wildschut, Marijke Ju, Nienke Wildschut and Amalia Jackson.

The physician nurse is Pauline Bosman.

The nurse specialist mental care is Marike Hassefras.

Around 10:00/10:15 hr you will not be able to contact the practice, because of a short deliberation (except in case of emergency).

For an appointment, call us at: 071-5612118, between 08:00 – 11:00 hr. It is not possible to make an appointment by website or by email.

Parking on the other side of the street in order to avoid inconvenience to the neighbours. Disabled parking is possible at a very short distance of the practice. Not available on Tuesday!

New Patient?

We are currently accepting new patients. Your application can be made at the practice. An acquaintance appointment is normally part of the application.

2) if the number is engaged, please call 071- 5612474 

3) between 12:00 - 14:00 hr your call will be transferred to one of the practitioners 

4) between 17:00 - 08:00 hr and during weekends call 0900-5138039  

House calls

Housecalls are available for elderly patients or patients too sick to come to the practice. If a housecall is required please call us between 08:00 and 11:00 hr.

Repeat prescription

For repeat prescriptions call the practice and press 1 for the prescription line or make an order online.

Prescription line, please provide the following information:

  • Date of birth
  • Name, address and telephone number
  • Medicine, dosage and strenght

Repeat prescriptions can be picked up the next day at the pharmacy.

Newly prescribed medicine can normally be picked up at the end of the day at the pharmacy.

If you’d like to see a medical specialist, a referral from a family practitioner is required. We realize that you may not be familiar with the Dutch health system. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask us.
